The River’s Path is a company dedicated to personal transformation through deep nature connection experiences in wilderness on rivers. We are a woman owned canoe outfitter based just outside of Boulder, Colorado. We facilitate river half day and full day river trips east of The Front Range and week long transformational canoe retreats near Moab in the canyons of Utah.

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Logistics coordinator will be responsible for managing all the gear for 5 to 6 canoe retreats to Utah in 2023. Position is paid per trip, and the work will consist of 10-15 hours in the week before each trip and 10-15 hours in the week after each trip. All gear is located 25 minutes west of Loveland, Colorado.

Logistics Coordinator should plan to work the week before and the week after each trip, with gear packed 2 days before the trip and they should begin unpacking 2 days after the trip. The most work will be before the first trip of the season and after the last trip of the season.

This includes: packing and unpacking for trips, maintaining spreadsheets, repairing gear, keeping gear organized in storage shed, packing and unpacking canoe trailer. This position can be combined with a part time guiding position for day trips on the St. Vrain River in the summer months.

*Dates that work will be required for this position will be April 7-14, April 26 – May 13, August 8-15, August 26-September 8, September 19-October 5, October 17-25, and possibly November 7-12 with 10-20 hours in each block of time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
may include but not limited to:

  • Primary responsibility is to manage all gear for The River’s Path.
  • Organize gear, pack van and canoe trailer for trips in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
  • Comfortable driving a 15 person van with a canoe trailer on dirt roads with steep grades (Training provided)
  • Inspect TRP equipment before and after each trip and repair as necessary. Comfortable problem solving and figuring out how to properly repair items.
  • Use, maintain, and update gear spreadsheets in Google Sheets
  • Able to take leadership in the gear and work independently
  • Possibility of driving van with  trailer to Moab for some of the trips.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current driver’s license with clean driving record, flexible schedule.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience packing gear for multi day wilderness trips for groups of 10-25 people
  • Highly organized with ability to structure tasks and complete tasks on deadline
  • Comfortable working independently but also asking for help when you need it!
  • Skilled in Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Able to lift canoes and heavy coolers with assistance
  • Comfortable driving a 15 passenger van towing a canoe trailer
  • Willing to do sanitation management projects as necessary, maintain Groover with human waste and trash from trips
  • Comfortable with collaboration and deep open communication
