Team Building On The
St. Vrain River

We at the River’s Path know how important culture is to success. The symbols, customs, communication, decision making processes, and agreements an organization develops, defines success and creates the environment for achievements. Joy, camaraderie, and mutual support, are catalysts for creativity. Creativity is both the creation and creator of culture.

Are you fulfilling your mission? Are your objectives clear and aligned with your mission? Are your teams cohesive and synergistic?

We have supported numerous small businesses, corporations, nonprofits, and social clubs in deepening their connection and sense of shared purpose. The leadership skills nurtured in nature are lasting and applicable to all of life. Life enhancing experiences are exciting and just plain fun.

“For success of any mission, it is necessary to have creative leadership. Creative leadership is vital for government, non-governmental organizations as well as for industries.”

— A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

The river is the ideal location for organizations to develop a culture of cooperation, mutual support, creative problem solving, and a sense of purpose in service to the greater community.

“You’ve got to think about big things while you’re doing small things, so that all the small things go in the right direction.” – Alvin Toffler

We believe that you can not remove any part of our society from the environment. So, in creating a successful organization we must be explicit that it is part of the larger whole in which it thrives. The River’s Path offers customized day long to week long retreats for organizations who are committed to leading the way towards a regenerative future.

“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” -Plato

Creativity and novel solutions most often arise when joy, humor and playfulness are part and parcel to hard work and dedication. A meeting in a boardroom can not foster the camaraderie and synergy that an adventure outdoors catalyzes. The River herself facilitates fun and laughter. The enthusiasm your team will experience is contagious. It will be shared with every customer and partner they serve.

Our most popular organizational retreats are one day team building on the St. Vrain River, just  minutes north of Denver CO, convenient to all cities of The Front Range.

We also offer week long retreats on the Green River in Utah providing spectacular opportunities for deep inquiry and vision/mission development.

“A mission statement is not something you write overnight, but fundamentally, your mission statement becomes your constitution, the solid expression of your vision and values. It becomes the criterion by which you measure everything else in your life.”– Stephen Covey

“We all didn’t know what to expect at first but once we got into it every single one of us found ourselves in this amazing adventure filled with laughing and teamwork. I can honestly say none of us wanted it to end. I certainly recommend a full day or even a multi-day trip! Thanks again to Lauren and her team.”

Stevan Adjemian, Columbine Roofing

“Great way to connect with colleagues.  The guides were awesome.”

Kerrin Reichen, Cornerstone Lending

“Lauren is an excellent and playful guide. After providing a “how to paddle 101 & safety” talk, she guided us and another couple down the St. Vrain for a half-day tour. We stopped to swim and skip rocks from time to time, ate lunch, and generally relaxed and enjoyed this July 4th holiday in nature. Lauren’s love of the river is apparent and she isn’t shy about sharing her knowledge of it and its inhabitants. The birds were abundant, we saw deer, and an owl being berated by blackbirds!”
